Mayor’s Message

Welcome to the 45th annual Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival!

To those who are participating for the first time, this is an amazing fesitval that brings the community and visitors together in a celebration of the bounty of nature’s sweetest gift.

If you’re a regular at the festival, you already know that you’re in for a day of great local maple syrup, entertainment, and of course – the log-sawing competition.

Springwater Township is a thriving municipality of approximately 18,000 residents. We’ve recently adopted an exciting new visual identity, opened our first Administration Centre, which is striving for LEED Silver certification.

The Township is excited to be working on its first Economic Development Strategy. This plan will help strengthen the local economy through support of local businesses and tourism attractions, such as the Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival.

On behalf of the Township of Springwater Council, staff and residents, I would like to thank you for supportng our community, and participating in this wonderful event. I hope you enjoy your time at the 2010 Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival, and we hope to see you back in Springwater Township again soon!

I would also like to thank all of the volunteers and festival organizers who take the time to put this event together. Your dedication in supporting the Springwater community is truly amazing. I know that because of your efforts, this year’s festival will be another great success.

Tony Guergis
Mayor of Springwater

Welcome to Elmvale

Welcome to the 2010 Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival. This is our 45th Festival and it is sure to be a great success once again thanks to the support of you, our visitors, vendors and the many volunteers.

I am proud to say that we are now the largest one day maple syrup festival in Ontario and continue to grow every year.

The Festival offers something for everyone:  starting with the Friday night High School Variety Show, our award winning  maple syrup, arts and crafts, midway rides, pancake eating and log sawing contests, great music and of course the sugar bush tours.

Take in the fun, make yourself at home and be sure to come back next year!

President, 2010 Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival

Greetings from MP Simcoe-Grey

I am pleased to welcome residents and visitors to this year’s Maple Syrup Festival in the Village of Elmvale. Each spring this charming village is host to one of the best Maple Syrup Festivals in the province.  Plan to take a Sugar Bush Tour and enjoy pancakes at the Pancake House.  Each year the festival is filled with fun activities for the entire family with entertainment, arts, crafts and quilt shows, street vendors, book sale at the library and musical entertainment, dancing at the Legion and a midway.

Thank you to all the organizers and volunteers for your ongoing commitment to this wonderful fun filled weekend.
